What we're all about
Consisting of youth between the ages of 15 and 25, IPS is a group aligned with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), or the Hare Krishna Movement.
Our aim is to reveal to youth the essence of the teachings of spiritual India. We highlight the relevance of this wisdom to our lives in the West and show how it is just as true and relevant today as it was thousands of years ago when it was first written.
You really don't need to fit a particular profile or be from a specific background to get involved with IPS. Some members were attracted to IPS through the philosophy that we dynamically present, some become addicted to the music or the delicious food at our events, and there are those that relished the friendships. We're essentially a large group of friends who recognise that there's more to life than what we can currently directly perceive and that we have identities that transcend our material bodies and minds.
Being youth, we make sure that we have a great time doing what we do, whether it be staying up late preparing for a festival, singing our hearts out in melodious kirtans (spiritual chanting and music), or exploring a beautiful European city with over a hundred of our members.
