Sacred Vibes

Music is an essential element of our events. We call it kirtan. The mrdangas provide the banging bass, the treble comes from the rhythmic kartals, and from our singers emanate sweet melodies and emotions.

Why do people often have such a strong attraction to music? Its appeal is a completely natural one, for in the spiritual world every word is a song and every step is a dance. God, or Krishna, is the supreme musician.

Based on these beliefs, we emphasise a lot of music. Our members are trained in singing or playing instruments.

There are times when the kirtan gets everyone dancing like mad, and other times everyone sways and claps to music while remaining seated. Sometimes we jam it out in a temple room, sometimes it's in a hall, and sometimes it's even out on the streets. Wherever it is, you'll find yourself transported to the spiritual realm.

If you can play an instrument and would like to use your talent in our kirtan, let us know. Even if you can't play instruments, we can give you the training you need.

So if you like music and you like to dance, come and try out kirtan. It's a lot cheaper than a club. We don't charge for our events. And getting yourself in the mood to dance won't require the help of any intoxicants. Even the food's free, and you don't run the risk of having a dodgy kebab.
